I originally posted this on February 23, 2016 on twitlonger but I’m reposting it now because I think he’s a good example of what we can expect if Trump were to become president. He won’t be choosing high-caliber people, he’ll be collecting the most hateful, ignorant, anti-freedom Conservatives you can think of, and they’ll be deciding what’s best for you based on their personal religious beliefs, this post has been revised a bit.
Back when in February when I wrote this, Jason Lewis was seeking the support of the GOP for Minnesota’s second Congressional District, funny thing is that he’s so terrible that Rep. Chris Fields (Rep.) was urging voters not to vote for him. That’s pretty bad when a fellow Republican hates you.
Jason Lewis is a repugnant Ayn Rand loving conservative who complained in 2009 that “real Americans” think Hurricane Katrina victims were “a bunch of whiners,” and he said last year that “the median income for blacks in America would make them rich in most African nations, not most – all.” Ayn Rand believed in reason and logic, he defies both.
I, am a real American and Katrina was a fucking tragedy that killed 1,836+ and destroyed over 800,000 housing units leaving many homeless. But when you consider that Jason is a white supremacist and that Katrina’s affects hit the black community hardest it’s not at all surprising that he would be so cold.
This is the same man who warned in 2012 that the “white population” would be “committing political suicide” and “committing cultural suicide” if U.S. whites did not raise their birth rate in comparison to other racial groups. and Lewis, has also argued that legalizing same-sex marriage violates his own constitutional rights, said the federal government lacked the authority to outlaw slavery.
Did you see that? Gay marriage violates HIS fucking constitutional rights.
This man and his ideas are absolutely sickening and yet I find it hilarious that he and others like him idolize an atheist who supported unlimited abortion on demand and who’s political leanings lie somewhere between liberal and libertarian.
Jason Lewis says: “In fact, if you really want to be quite frank about it, how does somebody else owning a slave affect me?” Lewis said in audio commentary added to his book. “It doesn’t. If I don’t think it is right, I won’t own one, and people always say, ‘Well, if you don’t want to marry somebody of the same sex, you don’t have to, but why tell somebody else they can’t?’ Uh, you know if you don’t want to own a slave, don’t. But don’t tell other people they can’t.” That is just painfully stupid and twisted.
He’s just like every other conservative in the way that they all shriek about their love for freedom and liberty while simultaneously stripping away/restricting the freedoms of everyone they don’t like. He also thinks very little of women and says that women are “simply ignorant of the important issues in life,” and said young women, in particular, were “non-thinking and generically ignorant” This is obviously insulting and enrages me that this asshat could have been in a position to make decisions that would affect the public. Men and women such as this should NEVER be in a position of power, they are hateful predators just waiting for the opportunity to prey on the weak and less fortunate and it’s just sickening.
